Thank you for supporting my ride for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Check out my ride video!

Friends,

On June 4, I rode 100 miles around Lake Tahoe in America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thanks to all of you who supported me! You helped me raise over $5,000 for blood cancer patients. This is the most I raised for this event, ever. As I got close to ride day, I wasn’t sure if I’d make my fundraising goal but many of you stepped up in the last few days before the ride to get me over.

Our Sacramento team was able to raise over $100K total and got a cancer research grant named in honor of our head coach Scott Faser. You can read more about his inspirational story here.

The event raised more than $2.6M for blood cancer patients. I heard many other inspirational and touching stories of survivors and families for whom this cause is so important. These funds go a long way to helping people overcome blood cancers and the breakthrough therapeutics these funds support often help people fighting other cancers, too.

I had a great ride around Lake Tahoe. This was the second fastest I did this route. It was a fun training season and our team’s training has set me up for an exciting summer of cycling. AMBBR never disappoints (even last year when it rained on us for 6 hours), and it was awesome to see my old LA team and Sikh Cycling Club friends during the day. We even encountered a big brown bear crossing the road not 50 feet in front of us at one point. That was definitely a highlight.

Thanks to everyone who supported me these past few months. Really appreciate you all!
