Since 2014, over $30,000 has been raised for charitable causes. See my previous charity rides here.
On September 10, I’m riding 75 miles and climbing almost 8,000 feet (the most I’ve ever attempted) from Vancouver to Whistler, BC, Canada to once again raise funds for the Riaan Research Initiative, a nonprofit started to find a treatment for Cockayne Syndrome and save the life of a little boy named Riaan and others like him. This is my second ride for this cause. The fight continues and time is running out. Please support me right now in raising funds to find a treatment.
Completed! On June 5, I rode 100 miles around Lake Tahoe, CA to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and you all helped by donating to most ever to support me in this event. Thank you!
On September 10, I’ll be cycling in the RBC Gran Fondo in Vancouver, BC, Canada to once again raise funds for the Riaan Research Initiative to find treatments for Cockayne Syndrome. This #ride4riaan is a 70 mile route from Vancouver to Whistler and it’ll involve the most climbing I’ve ever done. To help save Riaan and other kids like him, please support my ride today with a donation.

In March of this year, little Riaan was diagnosed with having Cockayne Syndrome, a very rare genetic disease for which there is no cure (yet). Kids who are diagnosed don’t have very long to live. I’m riding to raise funds for the research that will give Riaan and kids like him a chance at life.
