This was *supposed* to be a cycling video about my first training ride with Team-in-Training’s LA Cycle Team this season to prepare for America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride in June. Our almost-100 cyclists were *supposed* to kick off our training together on February 2, 2019, but it was pouring rain and so our first practice was cancelled. Naturally, I *supposed* that I would stay home and bake cookies instead using SkratchLabs cookie mix (for the first time).
SkratchLabs makes nutrition products for athletes (see more at https://www.skratchlabs.com). They have a simple and holistic approach to sports nutrition and so I’ve used their products for years for my bike riding. Also, let me say that all SkratchLabs items shown in this video were purchased by me and not sponsored.
I’m training for America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride in June to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The ride is a 100 miles around Lake Tahoe, CA and my goal is to raise at least $1,600 to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society support patients fighting blood cancers and to help them find a cure. You can find out more about leukemia and lymphoma at https://www.lls.org.
