Zora Singh, Olympic Road Walker

“India’s Z Singh and America’s Ronald Zinn stepping it out manfully in the 20 kilometres road walking event of the Olympic Games in Rome . Singh finished last of the 20 walkers and Zinn 19th . 3rd September 1960 Rome, ITALY.” (Source)

Zora Singh, representing India, came in 20th in the men’s roadwalking event during the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy, clocking a time of 1:43:19.8. Ajit Singh (not pictured) was disqualified.

Sikhs are a community of walkers, for sure, but no one has ever accused us of walking too fast.
