Last week, I biked over to the California State Capitol in Sacramento to join a protest to support farmers in India. People came to the Capitol from all over Northern California in a show of support, solidarity, and to let the Indian government know that the world is watching.

Amarjeet Singh Chawla, blind marathoner
Amarjit Singh Chawla of Mumbai, India, lost his sight at the age of 40 from macular degeneration. He began running at the age of 48. While he is 100% blind, he runs with several guides during his events. Now in his sixties, he has completed over 100 half and full marathons.
Milkha Singh, 90, is still flying
Indian track-and-field great Milkha Singh, the “Flying Sikh,” is 90 years old and still keeps up with staying fit, even during quarantine.
Dhana Singh
Dhana Singh was a member of the Indian national cycling team in the 1950s, competing in the 1952, 1954 and 1955 Peace Race (from Warsaw to Berlin to Prague).
He had a certain charm with European cycling fans, didn’t he?
