On my back pain, one out of one doctor agrees

That’s the last time I listen to Mark Cuban for medical advice though, truth told, he wasn’t offering any.

    Dr. Shark Tank

I re-aggravated my back pain and had to sit (lay) out a second weekend of training, but it turned out that Mark Cuban may have diagnosed my injury.

    This weekend’s lost miles

After training all winter to be in better shape for cycling this year, my back went out this weekend. It’s like rain on your wedding day.

Check out this 💩 by @strava and then check your Strava bills, people. I’m probably going to cancel my paid subscription. Thanks to @dcrainmaker for bringing this to light.
Here’s my @strava #yearinsport. One major thing not captured here is that we raised over $10K for charity this year through my bike rides. This really makes me happy. I also got to ride in new places across California and in my hometown of Vancouver. I caught COVID in the fall and the flu in the winter but I’ve been working on coming back from those — that’s been…”fun.” Thanks to everyone who supported me in 2022. It’s been quite a year!
Instagram is pushing the 9:16 ratio for videos, but cycling is a 16:9 sport. So, here's the 16:9 version of yesterday's ride.
Last minute jaunt through the Sacramento Delta. Catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in months. Great Sunday evening.
    Dreamy descent down Mt. Diablo.
Sometimes, I even leave my garage.
A month since my ride in the RBC Gran Fondo, and a week after getting over COVID, I got myself back on my bike again. I read a lot of accounts of people who got over COVID but got on the bike too soon or too hard and then having to deal with after effects. So, I took it easy today. I went with an endurance pace to see how my body would react and I think it went alright. My fitness has definitely dropped and I'll be spending the next few weeks rebuilding.
A freshly cleaned bike drive train is so satisfying.
And, here's the ride video! 🎥
